When we staggered in, the owner nonchalantly took us to the bedroom 'the room with a view'. Wow our jaws hit the floor it was amazing. The room was bigger than our flat, we got lost on the way to the bathroom! After a visit across the road to the pub we returned and just sat watching the sunlight fade from the hills through the huge landscape windows. Amazing! Truly Amazing!

Definitately one of the first places to pencil in if you are planning the C2C.

Well apart from the Lion Inn - this is the ONLY place to stay for quite some miles.

I can only echo the previous post - panoramic bedrooms (remember to draw the curtains! - you never know who may be watching).

Seriously, this is a first class B&B. Kathleen can take wet, dripping guests, and transform them to dry people.

Stay here.

The last time I did the C2C,we met up with two Canadian girls, who were originally booked up for somewhere else, but changed the schedule so that they could stop at High Blakey House. They were a bit concerned at the cost (compared to where they were staying before),but although I hadn't been inside the place,I said it looked impressive outside. Anyway the girls met us at The Lion Inn for dinner and they couldn't praise the place enough. They did mention it had a steam room - is that true?

My first stay here but not my last. The accommodation is simply outstanding and the views breathtaking. Kath only takes in B & B during the week so if you want to stay here plan your walk to ensure you land here midweek. First class in every respect.

A great place to stay. Kath very friendly and greeted with tea and flapjack. Very clean and comfortable with astounding views. Breakfast very good. Opposite The Lion for an evening meal. Won the category: toilet with the best view on the whole of our C2C. Would definitely stay again.

I think it would have been much more awesome if you could pin the spot in the maps and share it with all of us. I am one of those guys, who actually do not find it easy to find places. So it would have really helped me a lot.

I would have thought that the name of the accommodation, the proprietor, the address, the phone number, the email address, the website and the grid reference would be sufficient! If not suggest that walking is not for you.
