hi there, i recently registered on this forum. i'm steve, 39, currently living in evesham in worcestershire, though i only moved back here a while ago from the isle of skye. i work with drug users and homeless people (sounds fun eh!) and i do a fair amount of hiking, often around the brecon beacons at the minute due to its proximity. i'm doing the c2c end of august with my partner, camping all the way - we managed to get cheap train tickets there and back so its all good! also, we're both vegans which adds another element to the walk i suppose. anyway, maybe see some folks on the c2c - all the best, VH. :D

Well, you shouldn't have any problem finding food, there's plenty of grass to eat.

Mmm! I love chips, over here all one can get are tasteless 'fries'.

But fun aside, my wife and I are always battling the moral dilemma of eating animals. Hopefully one day tofu will be made to taste, feel and look just like chicken so then we can spare the poor little mites the crappy lives they lead before their necks are wrung.

Your thoughts?

"your thoughts?" - tigger, i dont want to go into a long spiel about veganism, as people may think i'm proselytising, but i would say that meat substitutes now taste pretty good, but then again i have no idea what meat tastes like anymore so i could be wrong! if you are in america, theres a huge range, apparently boca burgers are pretty good! why not try going 1 day a week meat free, making veggie curries/chillies etc and take it from there - its good for you and good for the environment too! 8)
