Just joined these forums and would like to say "Hello".

I currently live in Staffordshire and, together with my girlfriend, try to get out as much as possible.

We try to get to the Lake District or Wales as often as we can when time permits.

We also enjoy the Peak District and have Thorpe/Dovedale about an hour from us.

A montage of a few pics taken last year.

Hi Wilco and welcome.

Like you I'm a "new member" but trying to work up to the next level to become a fully fledged member. This works on the posts put on to the forum but craftily the don't tell you how many posts qualify you for the next level up! So as well as wanting to sincerely welcome you this has the added benefit of trying to increase my status on the forum and my self esteem

Hello The Saint and may I take this opportunity to not only say "thank-you" for your warm welcome but to bump up my number of posts :D

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute to these forums on a regular basis and look forward to joining in on various topics of walking/hiking/climbing conversation.

David.

Hello the Saint & Wilko. I joined this forum over a year ago and only had the privileged title of full member bestowed upon me this month. Disappointingly, it's triggered automatically and there's no ceremony, certificate or passing out parade. As a walking novice, at least as far as LDPs are concerned, I don't have too much to say. At present I'm more a taker than a giver. If you look how many (or how few) posts I have to my 'credit' you'll see that you're not too far away from Full Member milestone Saint.

Hello Wilko and girlfriend - welcome to walking places. Just shout out if you can contribute or need to know anything - you might not get an answer but you won't be ignored. I'm hoping to get up to Coniston Old man in about 2 weeks time - hoping to do a 12 mile ciruit around some of the peaks including Dow Crag and Brim Fell etc.

Hi SteveinLeicester - it looks as though it's about 20 posts to become a member - not that I'm counting :D .

Journeyman - You'll enjoy Coniston Old Man.

We did it on May 4th last year and had glorious weather. Hope you do too.

We also covered Dow Crag but not Brim Fell.

Feel free to have a look at some of my photo's to whet your appetite.
