Finally finished the blog of my 13 day walk on the ODP.

Phenomenal walk - would say it beats every other LDP I have walked by a considerable distance. Great experience, great weather (mostly) and some great hospitality along the way, not to mention the fantastic scenery.

Bloomin' hard work though :)

Thanks for writing up your journal, it reminded me of all the good days walking there this year. Especially the cafe in Kington the full breakfast was magnificent including the bread which wasn't from the local supermarket (or if it was they sell better bread than I get locally!). However whilst the walk was good I would put the Pennine Way and the South West Coast Path higher up the list of my favourites.

The cafe in Kington was a highlight :D

Not done the Pennine Way (on the hit list :) ) or the SWCP, apart from a very short section near Plymouth. Would love to do that in a single trip - may have to wait until I retire though.

I think it was the variety, and the constant high quality of the walking that made it (plus good weather, of course). If there are others that you rate higher, they must be good indeed!
