Nice one, RP. It is indeed Fat Betty, proper name is White Cross and is 1/2 mile East of Rosedale Head. This cross forms part of the Crosses Walk, a walk of 53 miles over the North York Moors. It is also on the famous Lyke Wake Walk as well as the Coast to Coast Walk.
Here she is close up.

The other crosses on the Crosses Walk are:

Botton Cross
Ralph's Cross
White Cross (Fat Betty)
Ana Cross
High & Low Crosses
Mauley Cross
Malo Cross
Lillia Cross
Postgate Cross
John Cross
York Cross

The crosses were there to guide many travellers over the featureless plateau of the North York Moors, a early form of way-marking.

This is a walk I plan to do next year.

You missed off Very Cross - which I believe is a common sight amongst C-2-C walkers across the moors
