I was in Langdale over the weekend with a bunch of friends to do Langdale Pikes and Bowfell (was a fantastic walk), however we were discussing First Aid kits before we set off.
Now I think I'm over cautious, but I was amazed that some of the walking group did not have any first aid with them and therefore was wondering what other's took with them and what they tent to have in their first aid kits?

As a solo walker, I take very little.
If I were responsible for a group, I'd have to take more.
I don't know where your boundaries lie between first aid and blister kits, first aid and sunscreen, first aid and rehydration powders, first aid and painkillers (yes, I do know they're not appropriate....!)
so it's difficult for respondents to answer your question in a consistent way.
I take a broad crepe bandage, a few plasters, Compeed and micropore tape, a needle and antiseptic cream.
Hope that helps you.

See "Gear and Equipment" for further opinion on First Aid Kits
