Leaving tomorrow to drive the 500 miles to the trail head. It's been T'storming the past week or so up there and it is forecast to continue, so, I am expecting a wet week.

If I get the chance I'll take some photos to post, but this is a 165 miles hike in the woods on the side of a hill, so chances are there will not be much to look at. And in any case, after a while one tree begins to look much like another.

The main purpose of this hike is to try everything out for a much longer trek in the future.

Ciao.

Tigger, how was your Ozark Trail walk? And what is the longer trail in your future? Don't leave us hanging!

Recently, I met a couple who joined my walking group for a day in the nearby mountains (hills?). They had just finished half of the American Discovery Trail across the USA, including the Buckeye Trail in Ohio and Katy Trail in Missouri. They took a winter break after reaching Kansas City and will continue to the west coast in March. Apparently, its a little different than walking in England.
