As I unexpectedly got the day off work at Good Friday, I thought about doing a three-day part of the Cotswold Way during the Easter Weekend. My idea is to park the car in Stonehouse, walk north, and just before Cleeve Hill get off the path and towards Ashchurch, where we'll take the train back to Stonehouse. According to distance tables + the five-mile walk from Bishop's Cleeve to Ashchurch, this should be about 35 miles in all.

Any suggestions on whether this is at all advisable, and any accommodation recommendations? The map at the National Trail website unfortunately isn't very helpful in determining what towns we would reach after one and two days, respectively.
